Why in the jar?

Dee'licious cakes come in the Weck®-jar. For a special reason: durability without any preservatives!

The cakes are baked directly in the sanitized jar and immediately closed with sterilized rubber and glass lids when they come out of the oven. When cooling, vacuum is created, so the aromas stay in the glass and bacteria etc. remain outside. The cake remains fresh for up to 4 months after the date of production (should it really have to wait so long to be eaten)

The Kaiserschmarren (an Austrian specialty, a kind of thick pancake with raisins, torn apart and caramelized) is baked in a pan as it should be, then filled into the jars, sealed and sterilized for a further 40 minutes at 100 ° C. The same effect of vacuum and conservation occurs. I do the same with the Zwetschgenroster (plum compote).

Another good reason for using glass jars is to avoid plastic. No further packaging is required, and the shipping, transport or storage is also made simple and environmentally friendly thanks to the robust and cleverly designed stainless steel containers.

The glasses can of course be reused, or by Dee'licious-holics, gladly also sent back and exchanged for new cakes.
